Best Practices

Traditional & Modern

Jeevamrutham

Jeevamrutham (prepared using cow dung and urine) supplied through drip to increase the micro-organism in the soil that in-turn helps in increasing fertility of the soil and productivity of the crop.

Use of Enriched Farm Yard Manure

Application of Farm yard manure (Cow dung & Sheep dung) enriched with Bio control agents like Trichoderma and Pseudomonas to prevent several soil borne plant pathogenes and to promote plant growth.

Use of Organic Fertilizers

We have stopped using chemical fertilizers and started applying Organic inputs like Organic Potash (PROM- made using Cow dung and rock phospate mineral) and Organic K, made out of Moalasses

Use of Green Manure

In addition to use of Farm Yard Manure (Cow Dung / Sheep Manure), we started traditional methods of enriching soil through Sunn Hemp & Cowpea Green Manure. This is what our elders did before chemical fertilizers came. Above picture is Sunn Hemp crop before incorporating into the soil

Environment Friendly Traps

Control of major crop issue like fruit fly with environmentally friendly pheromone lures that use both Indian & Israeli Technologies.

Continuous Learning

We continuously incorporate our learning’s into our operational manual and are guided by experienced professor from GKVK.

Medium density Plantation
